Hi All,

If someone came up with a socket, the price of that tube would skyrocket
very quickly and/or supplies would dry up very quickly.

GS23b is another great Russian tube built from quality materials. It
is able to run up to 2kW on HF-VHF-SHF. Mats, KD5FZX built 1kW 23cm PA
with this tube.
It is possibly to read about Pete, G4TCB experience with GS23b: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/8205
and K5GW PA measured performance on 70cm: http://www.nd2x.net/K5GW.html
I read that GS23b socket is possibly to find in Hungary, but lost this
address, possibly somebody knows it.

He makes those superbly crafted, GS35B and GI7B sockets.

He certainly makes sockets for any tube.
I already got his quotation for other tetrodes like TH347.
Sockets are not really necessary it is just easier to swap tubes.
On my 2m amp with YL1056 the screen ring is just clamped to the chassis and
copper rings clamped the control grid and heater connections.
