In support of your article.

Shortly MountainViews.ie a leading Irish hillwalkers website will be offering OSM mapping to show tracks on Irish uplands.  
We think it would be extremely useful to have the boundaries of military land identified, in particular where there are ranges or other dangerous activity.
Were such data is available through OSM, MountainViews would definitely use and promote it.
