Dear Felix/Ryan,

Our intension is to make mplayer run without X-libraries .

We have compiled Mplayer from the source version :

Mplayer-1.0rc3final.dfsg1 for debain version 5.0.8.

We have SDL library :libSDL-1.2

FreeDb version: directfb-1.2-9-pure

We have compiled the sources using above library versions/

When we ran mplayer , the application is crashing.

Below is the crash report:

mplayer -vo sdl /mnt/pools/A/A0/Movies/video1.avi

mplayer: /mnt/apps/lib/libjpeg.so.62: no version information available
(required by mplayer)

MPlayer interrupted by signal 6 in module: decode_video

- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.

It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your

gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read

DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We
can't and

won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a
possible bug.

[ This binary of MPlayer in Debian is currently compiled with

'--enable-debug'; the debugging symbols are in the package

   'mplayer-dbg'.]

Latest versions of sources , work with higher versions of Directfb, but in our enviromnet we are using directfb-1.2.x , if we have to upgrade directfb we need to upgrade other dependent libraries too..
So can u please let us know was there a fix for this version?

Or do I miss something?
