Hola a todos, espero que me ayuden.

Cuando conecto un servidor con ubuntu 8.04 y un think client sin disco duro, solo se comunican por medio de la tarjeta de red me sale que esta cargando el DHCP y le da su direccion IP, pero cuando se quiere comunicar con el servidor tftpd me sale time out, quiciera que me ayudaran que puedo hacer o si acaso esta malo que estoy haciendo.

Hola,

pues se me ocurre que pueda ser que el servicio no este arriba o que exista
algún cortafuegos que este impidiendo la comunicación,
entonces debes mirar que el servicio este arriba.

ps -fea | grep tftpd

deberías tratar de verificar que el puerto este abierto en el servidor,
podrias hacer le un ping al puerto para verificar esto

telnet <ip servidor> <numero de puerto tftpd>
telnet 192.168.1.1 22
